   DEC introduced its TCP/IP stack for VMS and its DECnet for ULTRIX
   at about the same time under the joint name ULTRIX Connection.  This
   was prior to Alpha, and prior to DEC choosing OSF/1 as the base for
   the UNIX to ship with Alpha.

   Thus the name UCX for the IP stack on VMS.
