I've succesfully mounted an old 600 meg Futjitsu brick of a disk. (the
5" huge things).  The other disks I had mounted were dubious (taken from
a pile of discarded drives).

I've concluded that my Sony CDU 561 has a problem. I may take a drive
from my old mac (known to work) and do further tests with regards to
connectors etc. And Will probaly take the CD drive from the old mac.
