I believe you're right.  ISTR that someone came up with a Format program 
for the proper Rainbow format.  It worked perfectly, DEC's claims to the 
contrary not withstanding.  DEC lost!

DEC wanted $700 for for 256 MB of memory.  I got mine at a flea market 
for $32.  It worked perfectly for as long as I had the Rainbow.  DEC 
lost!  I purchased a used memory expansion board at a steep discount 
from list.  DEC lost.  Again!'

I bought my Rainbow second hand.  DEC lost!

DEC wanted more than $2000 for a 20 MB hard disk.  I bought a third 
party drive for ~$300.  DEC lost!

DEC had some fine technical people but the MBA's were a bunch of losers!
