I've come across at least two ISPs where plussed addressing is used to 
specify multiple mailboxes, of the form account+mailbox. Not that I like
it...

I seem to have stirred up a hornets' nest among the "VMS does it this 
way so it cannot be wrong" fraternity. I was merely venturing an opinion
on the 'is it a bug?' issue! I thought this only happened in Linux 
newsgroups...!
