   Proir to VMS 3.0, you recovered lost blocks via:

   $ mcr vfy2

   The above was the precursor to ANALYZE/DISK_STRUCTURE/REPAIR

   And you saved a disk image with

   $ mcr dsc2

   Which was the precursor to BACKUP/IMAGE, and like BACKUP/IMAGE an
   output disk would be defragmented.  But there was no online disk
   defreagmenter from DEC until after they implemented IO$_MOVE many
   years later.
