But you can't get the VAX in the USB dongle or USB drive.

Time to shring the VAX and put it in the USB with the storage and two 
serial ports for printer and console.   Just add La120 and Vt100 and a printer
(or even modem).  Perhaps even an ethernet jack or wireless.
