A few things:

- Oracle sees value where IBM does not (Java? VirtualBox?? OpenOffice???).

- Oracle has an entree into OS ownership (whatever that might buy them).

- Does this position Oracle to better fight a future Oracle vs. DB2 war?

- Larry Ellison is bored to death.	:-)

- It's not an April Fools' joke.	:-)
