I have the vaguest of vague recollections that it was renamed IN7
(when Intelligent Networks were trendy). There is an IN7 SPD from 2001
at http://h18006.www1.hp.com/info/SP3419/SP3419PF.PDF

HP had a (competing?) SS7 product, there's a nice writeup in HP's
equivalent of the DTJ:

I don't know what the current state of play is, but the main SS7 end
users would likely have a Corporate Account Manager who in principle
should know someone who knows the answer. Or, if they still exist, the
folks in sunny Sofia Antipolis would know.
