[Info-vax] Should Oracle buy OpenVMS?

   If I was them I might go running back to IBM.  But if they're
   currently heavily invested in Sun having Oracle as an owner wouldn't
   fighten me unless that investment included an other than Oracle DBMS.

   Competing vendors for DBMS on Sun will not just shut up and go away
   but they might find themselves with a smaller market share.  In that
   case it remains to be seen whether they can be as tenacious in that
   smaller share as VMS as been in its.
