YES! And some damn fine hardware too. Show me something that comes close
to the capabilities and configuration of the latest 17" MBP, for example,
and you'll see the better deal from Apple.
>My impression is that they are more committed to iGimmicks,
I searched the Apple site and can find no reference to iGimmicks.

FACTS:
<quote>
Various sources have suggested that unit sales of Macs were declining in
recent months, and that the firm was losing marketshare amidst the general
decline of the global PC market. Mac unit sales did see their first
year-over-year decline in a while, but the drop was relatively minor, coming
in at only three percent, less than the 6.5 percent decline seen in the
general PC market. iPods went three percent in the opposite direction, just
clearing 11 million units.

MORE FACTS:
Mac sales:
2008Q2: 2.29 Million units
Compare and contrast with:
2009Q1: 2.52 Million units
2009Q2: 2.22 Million units
Those figures, taking into account the global financial situation, don't
look all that "dark" to me. I wish I was in such a "dark" place.
