And?

2 GB cheap memory (DDR2 dual channel PC6400) costs around 20-30 dollars.
And 4 GB of the same 30-40 dollars.

HW evolves.

1 MB - 4 MB - 32 MB - 512 MB - 2 GB - 8 GB - ....

I don't see any reason why that trend should stop at 1 GB.
