endanger lives are encountered and this applies to all owners of the
model/year for which this fix is required, warrantee or not.

In the context of XP, this means that Microsoft will NOT issue mandatory
patches if a major flaw is encountered.

So, say a virus finds another flaw in XP and threathens to infect 50
billion computers still running XP. Will Microsoft really be able to NOT
issue a patch for it ?
