Mister VAXman,

I realise that you have a slight dislike for Microsoft :-), BUT, one
should be fair and at least spend a few minutes on Windows before making
disparaging remarks about it.

Remember that the vast majority of desktops run Windows.  And the world
hasn't crumbled because of Windows. A couple of aircraft carriers have
gotten marooned and many other less important faults, but it hasn't
prevented the sun from rising every day, the moon is still in orbit
around the earth (contrary to 1970s predictions that it would be blown
out od earth's orbit in 1999,   and the earth still orbits the same star.

And as hard as it may be to accept, there are some companies that are
making succesfull use of Windows and haven't crumbled because of viri,
trojans, inferior software, system crashes etc.

One should not underestimate one's ennemy. You may dislike Windows, but
Windows is still able to provide functionality.
