My TRS-80 compiles and runs COBOL programs in 48K.  But I don't think I
would want to try to run a modern business with more than 3 employees on
it.

And then, of course, there is my 6809 based OS9 systems.  Multi-user,
multi-tasking and all in 64K and a couple floppies.  :-)

And, yes, the memory for both cost considerably more than that additional
1 or 2 GB SIMM/DIMM you need.
