My 3rd party support company replaced our CDC disk drive/controller with a 
SCSI subsystem on our MVII when we had a few failures because it was cheaper 
and easier for them at the time.  It did cost us the price to keep the 
hardware under contract.  It might not have hurt that I worked for same 3rd 
party support company prior to working for that company.
