Hmmm. That doesn't _sound_ like a complaint.
It's all a big accident. If that "zip -V" code had been
done right in the first place, I might still be a lazy victim
(instead of a lazy perpetrator).
Now the big mystery becomes when/whether HP will ever
upgrade from "UnZipSFX 5.42 of 14 January 2001 [...]" in its
patch distribution scheme. (With only a little work, UnZipSFX
could be persuaded to use bzip2 compression, which could help
to sell more CPUs.) And there should be no longer be any
excuse for using gzip on those IA64 DVD kits.
Unrelated to VMS, Mac users might be interested in an
unofficial, unapproved patch kit to add support for resource
forks and Finder info to UnZip 6.0. (Zip 3.1b includes the
other half.) It should all be "ditto"-compatible.
