Ah, of course.

I checked the docs for the Zyxel and it uses "DNS Proxy"
to channel the DNS lookups between the clients (and from
my VMS system) to the real DNS servers at the ISP.

I can also enter the addresses of the ISP's DNS servers into the
Zyxel, but then I have to manage/change these settings manualy
whenever my ISP decides to change DNS servers.

So the Zyxel isn't realy a DNS *server*.

The Zyxel and my ISP uses something called IPCP for this.

And of course, if a specific DSL router/modem does not support
"DNS Proxy" you have to manage these setting manualy...

I just checked the docs for the BEFSR41 and it seems as
it doesn't support DNS Proxying. Well then...
