Give the guys a break. There have been significant changes in
engineering (understatement).  Those who are not newbies are busy
training the newbies. And we don't know the ratio between non-newbie and
newbie.


8.4 will come when it comes.  HP has incentive to deliver 8.4 to prove
that its new team in india is capable of delivering a new version to
placate naysayers like me. Once this is done, they can then tell
customers that VMS is still being developped.

Once this is done, they can put 8.5 on the same course that 8.x for VAX
had been set. By the time people realise that it ain't coming, it won't
matter much anymore.
