I have an older MSL5026SL on a SAN with a FC-SCSI NSR on it, and I can use 

the ROBOT command to load/unload tapes to/from the 2 SDLT drives in it, so 

I cannot see why you could not do the same for the LTO's (this library was 

also available in an LTO model, IIRC).
