The one I mentioned is also optional in the sense that it works without
them. But they are are strongly recommended by MS.
VMWare also recommend their tools.
Because they give the users the best experience with the
virtualization.
It would not be that surprising if HP wanted similar tools to
be available before releasing the stuff.
