But for many, disaster recovery will do.

In terms of disaster recovery all I need to do if my hosting ISP fails 
is to pick another*. Backups are my responsibility of course, but from 
that point on it's simply a matter of signing up with a new ISP,  
uploading and then waiting for the new DNS entries to propagate.

* best done in advance if more than a few hours outage is of concern.
