This message (in my email client) and used purely as an example:
From: moroney at world.std.spaamtrap.com (Michael Moroney)

Please respond to: "comp.os.vms to email gateway" <info-vax at rbnsn.com>

uses the sent-by, i.e., From, and not the DisplayFrom,
to build the "...wrote on ..." information line below:

info-vax-bounces at rbnsn.com wrote on 08/12/2009 12:45:36 PM:

and then quotes the message, so the actual copy in the single "> "
is attributed to info-vax-bounces and the name of the true author is
lost.

"info-vax-bounces at rbnsn.com"

"moroney at world.std.spaamtrap.com (Michael Moroney)"

Multiply this by several back-and-forths, and correct attribution is
problematic. I don't know how to solve this.
