Thanks for the offer, David, but the problem I have
with blogs is their general lack of structure.  With
the news group, readers sort by subject and/or
by date and can easily follow a whole discussion.

The (few) blogs I follow generally mix comments
on several topics in one hodge-podge.  That's
fine if you find the writing interesting in and of
itself, but I'm not so sure how technical discussions
would fit that mold.

If you're talking of something more structured,
like the ITRC forum, I wouldn't call that a blog.
And I still prefer the format of usenet over the
structure of a forum, FWIW...
