   He did say, "We are getting an access violation (a crash)
on calls to calloc() [...]", not, "We are getting an access
violation (a crash) in some code which uses calloc() [...]",
and that may be correct.  I'd guess that seeing an actual
traceback would make it clearer which problem we're really
looking for.  My psychic powers are very weak, and good
guessing requires actual thought, and I'm lazy, so I like to
see some real evidence before I put much effort into
speculation.  But don't let me stop you.
