I wouldn't go this far... yet
I can spend about 0$ so I start by evaluating other avenues...
I already managed to find 2 4GB drives for it so that I have volume 
shadowing enabled...

There's still a possibility to connect a tape drive to it. I have to look at 
that next time I come close to the machine.
I still have tons of those small cassettes I could use... but I hate to take 
them home every day.

The system has some SEAGATE ST11200N and RZ29B with ??? slots free to add 
disks.
And I must shut it down to see if the disks I have in store will work. I 
already tried many and only found 2.
