That reminds me of a story I heard a few years ago. The marketing 
manager of a product which was a household name reckoned she could shave 
a good chunk off its advertising budget that year, but was absolutely 
forbidden to do so by the BoD.

(Oh should we be so lucky to have budgets like that :-) )
