I had some limited contact with Digital Unix; a course on System
Administration AIRC. I don't think it was any better, or worse, than
anyone else's product.
To be successful, you have to be BETTER, or CHEAPER. Cheaper was a
notion absolutely foreign to Digital. Better was possible but DEC
either failed to achieve it or failed to market it properly. We all
know that marketing was not one of DEC's strong points.
