To clarify for those on the group who didn't see my e-mail exchanges 
with Mark:  you should only have to define the 
DCPS$queuename_PRODUCT_NAME logical name when using LPD with a printer 
supported by DCPS.

What bit Mark was that he is running DCPS V2.3.  DCPS, when starting an 
LPD queue to an unsupported printer with that version, would improperly 
classify the printer type and Bad Things would happen.  So his 
definition of the logical name to a model not supported worked around 
the bug that exists in V2.3 and V2.4.
