I'm the one how asked privetly about the drive...

One of the two cable part numbers is A7231-63002: it's sitting in my
hand right now. Looks like the other one, the RoHS cable is
A7231-63026. RoHS = Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous
Substances (RoHS) compliant part. See RX2620 Service Guide at
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01404139/c01404139.pdf

I ordered a Pineer DVD burner (DVR-K17RS) in the slimline format,
"slimline" looks like a "standard",
but the above HP cable does not use the "standard" connector. I have
ordered one of the Serverwould drives and should have it by the end of
the week. I'm hoping that the card that takes the cable to the
"standard" connector is not a HP part and can be found elsewhere, or
has an HP part number...

For the record, the "standard slimline" connector is a JAE 50 (50 pin)
and the HP cable uses a 80 pin 50mil pitch IDC with a manufacture's ID
of KEL 8920-080.
