If Dilbert's boss in hiring, you go for it!  And I'd assume a recruiter 
who doesn't know the difference between a VAX, an Alpha, and an Itanium 
rather than Dilbert's boss.

Most recruiters are okay but I ran into one who rewrote my resume to 
include experience I never had!  I discovered this at the interview.
I handed over a copy of my resume, entirely different from what the 
recruiter had supplied, and we agreed that the job was not a good fit 
for me and that neither of us would ever deal with the recruiter or her 
company, again!
