This assumes that anyone in HP management is interested in preserving 
VMS!  There is little evidence that such an assumption is justified!

I believe that there are contracts in place between DEC/Compaq/HP and 
DOD that require HP to continue to support VMS through the year 2020!
I suspect that that is ALL that is keeping VMS support alive!
