Or, in the category "1000 useless tricks for a 5300a" you could create a 
shadow set out of the two 1TB volumes, and do an $INIT /ERASE DSA0: on 
it. Nice disk exerciser! Hear the hum lower in frequency when the heads 
reach the outside of the platter :-)
