OK, that was funny :-)

FWIW, I have sometimes wondered what'd happen to everyone's systems in
Bangalore/Mumbai if it really Kicks-off in Kashmir. Or for that matter if
the belief that Pakistani assassins were allowed to come down and wreak
havoc in India and the Indian people stood by and did nothing, was able to
fester? Still, after stepping back from the abyss and putting my value
system back in check, I'd much prefer there were a few less local jobs if it
meant people didn't start nuking each other!

Having said that, I can't say I have a lot of sympathy for that Satyam
guy(s). What happens to customers if these companies start upping their
rates or reducing service levels (all still within "contractual obligations"
of course) so as to generate a real profit for a change? What if you've
outsourced your staff, hardware, and other infrastructure to these
companies? Who really knows how financially viable such a company is?

And there is at least the odd VMS presence in *this* story Bill :-)

Cheers Richard Maher
