Sigh - JF and I have stuffed around (Australian)/diligently experimented
(North American/British/?) connecting OVMS to NFS for some time - our
experiences vary with JF having much more success in my opinion. In my
case, I have has OVMS8.2 connected to and using a Windows2008
server-based NFS for about 6 months - it took over 6 months to get it to
work properly.......

I have recently created a "new" NAS using FreeNAS and followed all the
instructions to set it up for NFS serving. I can connect to it using
Windows (2000, 2003, 2008, XP, Vista), Solaris 10, OSX, HP/UX and
assorted Linuxen. OVMS - no way!!! I know OVMS NFS client works (it
will talk to the old NFS server) but using identical parameters to the
new one won't go.

Short answer, it probably works but seems to be a hand-crafted solution
each time depending upon how close the NAS NFS server is to responding
to OVMS client requests in a way that OVMS likes - and OVMS doesn't give
you any useful hints when it doesn't like it!!

Good luck

(JF, you may have more constructive things to add than I did....)
