That expiration date must be stored for your DECUS id somehow. From
what I can tell, the setup is if you request a license within a weeks
or so of your expiration date, then it goes out a full year plus a
couple weeks. If you request a lices before that, then they get
issued with the old expiration date. For example: I got my renewal
licenses in December 2008 - 2 days before expiration and the new date
is Dec 2009. during the summer of 2008 I got a license for an
Integrity system and the expiration was the same as my others - Dec
2008
As for the serial number, I've noticed that since the last re-write to
add Integrity systems, none of the PAKS have the hardware info in them
any more. Hoff and Dave would know why, I suppose. Maybe they
decided it just wasn't needed or the serial #'s are too much trouble.
