Actually, Ubuntu's "tag line" claims that, "it just works".  I've found 
that to be untrue in some cases, especially compared to Mac OS X.  
Wireless networking immediately springs to mind - Ubuntu requires *much* 
futzing on a laptop, where OS X "just works".

Ubuntu maybe easier to *install*, but in some cases, OS X (and others) 
is/are easier to *configure*.
