It can boot OpenVMS - yes. But look at the 'Problem Areas' on the
project status page:

... and the date of the recent changes (29-APR-2008).

Personal Alpha is fully functional.

If you combine this with the recent announcement regarding a
development of a new VAX and Alpha virtualisation solution by
Migration Specialties

and the fact that Camicom SSC is involved in that project, you could
draw your own conclusions.
