Nice, ACMS is used for 1:M but communication is (that I am wondering
about here) peer to peer, anyways in my case. Did someone get a bit
excited (or annoyed) well what i would like to avoid is developing
something for a problem already solved.

For critical app I can use IBM Websphere, but for some more
information collection/nice to have It would be nice to have a easy
way (now there I , among other strange 3 letter abbrevations, use FTP)
to communicate.

Thanks all for the suggestions, some I have to read again just to
filter out a bit that might be not really answering the original Q.

Or bite in the sour grape and use Java,Corba,ActiveMQ,whatever but
then I "hate" JNI, but ODBC i a thought... going into M$ MDAC hell
instead.. havent eaven thought about that.

Well, 25 yrs to retirement - so why dont make the best of it...
