Three commercial products spring to mind:
  - Attunity Connect
  - CONNX
  - Easysoft

I've heard nothing but good reports for CONNX. One of my customers ran it
for many years, until they retired their VAXes.

I believe a lot of people are happy with Attunity, but I have no experience
with it.

I used Easysoft many years ago and it worked well. The only problem was
that setting up multiple directories of identical-layout RMS files was a
pain; I think we had to define the data format as part of the data source
definition, which meant creating about 30 copies of the same data formats.
This was 10 years ago now so they might have improved it since then!

I'm not aware of any open-source or freeware options in this area, but
that's not to say there aren't any.

Regards,
