Canadians who buy homes in florida pay property taxes.

Canadians who rent home in florida give money to americans who own the
homes and those americans send money to the city (property taxes) and
government because of the revenus they earn from their properties.

Canadians who stay in hotels generate much economic activity and employment.

If you would rather not get tourism, just say so and canadians will buy
homes in caribean countries instead of the USA. They'll stop spending
half their retirement in florida shops and restaurants.
