The Email suggest UK, but the text mentions Australia. Did I get my
quotations wrong?

The cheapest place to buy Rx2600 is surely the slew available for able
$175 on Ebay.
Shipping  to the US is $85  whether you bu 1,2 or 3 (I think).
But they don't ship outsde the US.
Australia can be expensive.
IF, bif IF, you can find someone with a good FEDex contract you may
get a 'discount' rate of $250 or there abouts,
bbut don't be surpriseed to get quoted USD $400 - $500

You may want to  contact "Fredrik" from the topic "Anyone in the DC

Maybe he can buy 2 (or 3, one for spares/memory) and maybe you can
'lure' him into shipping to Australia and being
and intermediary for buying the system in the first place?!

I helped with a similar transaction, but it was a little too much
work / time to offer that again.
