Hhhmmm...

Well, #1, SWCC is not an X application.

2. There is an "agent" which is installed on the VMS system which has FC
"visibility" to the HSGs. It communicates with the console LUNs on the
HSGs via the same mechanism as HSZTERM$SCSIPAD (SET HOST/SCSI
$1$GGA....). That means it keeps the console LUN tied up - maybe not
what you want.

3. SWCC is a MS Windows app. which communicates with the VMS-side agent
by some IP protocol. In order for it to work, your PC's IP address must
back-translate to some name (ANY name, I think) -AND- that name must be
authorized in the SWCC agent's list of authorized clients. So, the name
can't change unless EVERY possible name to which your PC's IP address
could back-translate is authorized in SWCC agent on the VMS side.

...I think, IIRC. Apologies for my fuzzy memory - it's been quite a
while since I played with it.
