Peter,

The ZX6000 normally ships with an AGP graphics card. These are not
supported under OpenVMS. You need to open the box up and remove the
PCI/AGP card cage to see if you have a graphics card installed. There
are various cards that will work, but they are all PCI. I run an ATI
7500 PCI graphics card, I believe the 7000 will also work. If you plug
in a DVI cable to a flat panel and power the box up then it will start
up in DVI mode.

I forget what I had to do specifically to OpenVMS configuration to get
the graphics card working, but it isn't hard.

NOTE: not all ATI PCI 7500 cards are the same - some are *called* the
same but actually contain the mobile 7500 graphics chip which isn't
supported. The card generally needs to look like those shipped by
island systems. Apparently the all-in-one 7500 pci series has also
given success.

The MP card contains a VGA chip which apparently works with OpenVMS
but I've not managed to get mine to produce anything yet, but that's
down to me I think.

Regards, Mark.

p.s. if you get a graphics card, be sure to remove any AGP card and
put the graphics card in the middle PCI slot. I've noticed visual
artifacts due to the position of the card (though don't ask me why)
