The first requirement is that you have an OpenVMS system running
already. You cannot boot a MicroVAX from a non-OpenVMS system (that
is, if you want it to run OpenVMS as well). This boot server can be a
VAX or an Alpha (an Integrety probably as well, but that is not
supported). The easiest configuration is a VAX as boot server.
On the boot server you run the CLUSTER_CONFIG.COM procedure to
configure a second cluster member, which will boot over the network.
The MicroVAX client can than be booted over the network. The console
command will be something like "BOOT XQA0", but depends on the actual
hardware.
