Yes, that's exactly what I am talking about as well.
All my .dis files contain lines of the form:
local_username@{domain_name}.co.uk
This works perfectly for me, regardless of whether the distribution list
is referenced from the outside world, or internally from within the machine.
How does your machine know that x.y.z is it's name (or a valid alias for
it's name)? In my case, I define the name of the machine, as well as it's
valid SMTP aliases, within the local UCX hosts database.
