I wouldn't expect that to be a problem. MKIMAGE shouldn't need to know 
anything about ODS-2 - it simply needs to copy the sectors from the CD 
to a file.

I wrote a similar program (for a completely different operating system) 
and I simply read the CD sectors 'raw' and wrote them to a file. I did 
this on a VMS 7.3-2 distribution CD, and it worked fine on SIMH. I also 
burned another CD from that image, and that CD worked fine on a real 
VAX.
