[Info-vax] Decwindows display

Hi Folks,

I don't run X that often, but when I tried this morning, I noticed I didn't
have a display:

$ show display
%DECW-W-OPENIN, error opening DECW$DISPLAY as input
-SYSTEM-W-NOSUCHDEV, no such device available
$ 

Just for fun, I restarted the DECW startup file, and even rebooted; still no
luck.

I know I've used X successfully since the beginning of the year.  I'm running
Alpha V8.3 with the following recent patches (VMS):

I have UPDATE 9, but I'm not installing it until next month, unless I have a
compelling reason to do so.

Has anyone else seen this?  I suspect the patches, because those are the only
things changed on my system recently.
