Like all Java App environments, it does take additional memory and
may involve some additional tuning for optimum performance. As an
example, when installing Java Apps on OpenVMS, one should check the
notes in the following link:

http://h71000.www7.hp.com/ebusiness/optimizingsdkguide.pdf
(bit dated, but still applicable)

Note especially the much higher process quotas.

Also, the normal OpenVMS perf things to address e.g. fragmented disks
(especially with older servers/WS's), turning high-water marking off,
ideally running later V8.3 versions of OpenVMS etc (running V7.3-2 is
like running an App on Windows 2000).
