[Info-vax] VMS - what is the current thinking amongst the user community

Once again the bearer of bad tidings.

There was a local pizza joint I have frequented for many years. I
always got a kick out of their POS system. HDS Terminals with a
protective membrane (I guess to keep the flour and pizza sauce out)
and templates showing what keys to hit. Now, you are probably
wondering what this has to do with VMS. Well, all these terminals
were hooked up to a small VAX (not sure of the model, most likely
a MicroVAX II) running VMS. There has not been a local DEC office
here for nearly two decades and it just ran.

The bad tidings? I was in for a pizza about a week ago and it is now
all Windows Touch Screens. :-(

I wonder what they did with the VAX? I wonder if I could do them a
favor and dispose of it for them? :-)
