Another piece of bad news.  I am sure everyone here remember when I got
the big VAXen that I was able to get the department to use for a few
years here before we abandoned VMS entirely.  Well, they came from a
local Fairchild Chip Fabrication facility which moved over to Alpha,
thus freeing up the VAXen to give to the University.  Well, it was just
announced int he local paper that the facility is shutting down.  Another
VMS site gone.
